ANxiety Therapy

Where are my anxious girlies at?!

You’re endlessly comparing your life to your social media feed - spiraling out of control because the pressure to maintain & keep up is so overwhelming. That relentless pressure to perfect & elevate your lifestyle is exhausting.

It’s the 5-9 before a 9-5 for me.

Plus you’re trying to maintain the stressors in your job, relationships, finances, and daily unprecedented historical events. You’re easily overwhelmed by everyone & everything. How is anyone even getting out of bed in the morning living life like everything is normal? In this economy? Because all you can think about is blanket burrito-ing in your bed and calling it a week.

FOMO

Avoidance

Mood swings

Rumination

Panic

The anxiety is crippling and you know you can’t manage on your own anymore. Life is passing you by and you feel stuck & frozen in your BIG anxiety.

What is anxiety?

Anxiety is an emotional + body response. It’s your body’s way of alerting you to perceived danger (fight + flight + freeze + fawn). And honestly, there’s no sugar coating this one - there’s a lot of really messed up stuff & stress happening everyday that you literally have no control over. Anxiety is the body’s way of keeping us alive in uncertainty & loss of control. For the most part, your anxiety is adaptive.

What does that mean, exactly?

your anxiety wants you to stay alive & survive.

Anxiety’s the ultimate baddie.

The not so great news? The more stress in your life, the greater risk of anxiety. Economic stress from inflation, challenges getting started in the job market because of layoffs and downsizing, rising cost of housing and rent, access to good nutrition and healthcare, pandemics, human rights violations, gun violence - the list could literally go on & on.

Feeling anxious from those real world stressors is normal. But what happens when stress & anxiety consume your thoughts, & your worries feel out of control?
